There is no denying it Italian tapas are a big business in London right now. Last year saw an influx of openings and now even the chains are jumping on the band wagon and offering sharing dishes.
Assaggetti located on Haymarket is doing just that, offering small Italian dishes which are served as and when they are ready, to share. Located in an old bank building the decor is bright, modern and slightly quirky, the menu is written on paper table mats, bread is served in a tin and the staff are efficient and friendly.

London’s Haymarket is known for two things: theatres and restaurants. The newest addition to the street is
Assaggetti, a brand new concept for Italian food. Me being addicted to pasta (food in general really), I decided
that I needed to go check out the latest arrival. After a quick walk from Piccadilly Circus, you arrive at Assaggetti
and the first thing you notice is the incredible and HUGE chandelier hanging from the ceiling. It makes the
entire top floor into something quite amazing. I was fixated to it for a good part of five minutes, going “ooooh
